Welcome to Parivar AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including chat messages, avatar configurations, and feature usage patterns.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

Voice Data: When you use the voice call or voice message features, audio is captured and converted to text (speech-to-text). The resulting audio files, including AI-generated voice responses, are stored in our secure cloud storage. You can delete these by deleting the associated conversation or your account. Voice call audio is not stored — only the text transcript and AI voice reply audio are retained.

Cookies: Our website (not the mobile app) uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience. The Parivar AI mobile app does not use cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To personalize your AI family avatar experiences
• To send you updates, notifications, and marketing communications (with your consent)
• To improve our Service and develop new features
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud
• To process your messages through AI language models in order to generate avatar responses. Messages are sent to our AI processing providers and are handled in accordance with their data processing agreements.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. All chat data is encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share limited user data with the following categories of trusted service providers who help us operate the Service:

• Authentication & Notifications Provider — to manage your account login and send you push notifications (device identifiers and user IDs may be shared)
• AI Language Processing Provider — to generate conversational responses from your avatar (message content is processed; not retained for training without consent)
• Voice Synthesis Provider — to convert text into voice audio for voice call features (text content is processed temporarily)
• Cloud Infrastructure Provider — to host and store application data securely (all stored data is encrypted)
• Email Delivery Provider — to send transactional emails such as account confirmations and support responses (email address only)
• Crash Reporting & Analytics Provider — to detect and fix technical issues (anonymized device and usage data)

All service providers operate under strict confidentiality agreements and are only permitted to use data for the specific purpose we have engaged them for.

Some of our AI processing providers operate servers outside India (including in the United States). By using Parivar AI, you consent to your data being processed in these jurisdictions in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can do this through the app settings or by contacting us at privacy@parivarai.in.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Parivar AI complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). Indian users have the right to access, correct, and erase their personal data.
